More about the book
Richard Horatio Edgar Wallace, an English writer and war correspondent, began his literary career out of financial necessity after returning from the Second Boer War. He gained fame for his thrillers, such as The Four Just Men, and drew inspiration from his experiences in the Congo for works like Sanders of the River. Wallace's prolific output led to claims that he authored a significant portion of England's books. In his later years, he transitioned to Hollywood as a scriptwriter before his untimely death, leaving behind a legacy that included contributions to King Kong.
