Set in the year 2312, the story follows David North, a street kid with the ability to manipulate strings and wires telepathically, though he struggles to control his powers. After a near-fatal encounter with a gang, he is rescued by Super teenagers from Project Arete, a secretive training facility. David feels a strong connection to Sarah, a fellow Super with bionic eyes. As he recovers and contemplates joining Project Arete, he hopes to gain control over his abilities and explore his bond with Sarah, seeking a new life beyond the City's dangers.
