His secret affair with Ada Nemesis Pearson Cooper lasted a decade, culminating in marriage in 1905. Galsworthy's literary career began with short stories, but he gained prominence with plays and his acclaimed Forsyte Saga, exploring themes of social class and moral codes. A champion for various social causes, he served as a hospital orderly during WWI and received the Nobel Prize in 1932, passing away in 1933.
