Fire and Ice

The story follows Sophie Rose, a crime reporter who leaves her job at a major Chicago newspaper to escape the shadow of her infamous father, Bobby Rose. She takes a position at a small newspaper, where she profiles local figures, including 5K runner William Harrington. When Harrington is found dead in Alaska, apparently killed by a polar bear, the investigation reveals a deeper mystery, especially with Sophie's business card discovered among his belongings. The narrative intertwines family legacy, ambition, and the pursuit of truth.
