More about the book

The cycle of War's Fury continues with the participation of the SS Wotan assault battalion in Operation Barbarossa in the latter half of 1941. After a failed attempt to invade England, during which the battalion lost nearly half its men, the German soldiers return to barracks in occupied Belgium. Following rigorous training of fresh recruits and familiarization with new tanks, they embark on a journey through Germany to the east. In the early hours of June 22, 1941, they take part in the invasion of the Soviet Union. After crossing the Bug River, their mission is to protect two armored divisions and initiate an attack on Brest-Litovsk. Following the capture of Kyiv and Sevastopol, they prepare for an assault on Rostov, where the Germans encounter fierce resistance from the Russian army. Unprepared for the harsh natural conditions, they find themselves at the end of their strength, yet Hitler refuses to consider a retreat from the positions they have taken.
