The Groundwork of Eugenics

More about the book

Excerpt from The Groundwork of Eugenics This paper gives the substance of two lectures delivered as an introduction to a Course on the Science of National Eugenics at the Galton Laboratory, February 23 and March 2, 1909. It is published because the Staff of that Laboratory has found the need of some introduction to the science of Eugenics, which shall place the results of their investigations in a simple form before the layman. The aim of the present series of publications is to state the conclusions drawn from laborious statistical investigations and their bearing on national welfare in non-technical language suited to the general reader. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in our edition. We do, however, repair the vast majority of imperfections successfully; any imperfections that remain are intentionally left to preserve the state of such historical works.
