Velmi silný příběh o dvou dívkách které přežily výbuch Černobylu. Oksana i Valentýna přijdou při nehodě o otce a musí se odebrat k Valentinině babičce kterou nikdy před tím neviděly. Zároveň se dívky nemají rady, protože Valentýna je z židovské rodiny a Oksana ji za to ve škole šikanuje. Když se tedy ocitnou ve vlaku do Leningradu, vše je jinak.
