In search of a forbidden manuscript, Lawrence and Holo find themselves in the port city of Gerube. There, they witness a long-standing conflict between the northern and southern sides of the city. When a rare and highly valuable narwhal is brought into the harbor, both sides see a significant opportunity to gain dominance in the city. However, there are also players with their own agendas, such as the mysterious Abe, who seeks to draw Lawrence into a risky conspiracy.
