Ger Van Elk (1941-1914) was a Dutch Conceptual artist known for his work in sculptures, painted photographs, installations and film. A peer of Jan Dibbets and Bas Jan Ader, and also of Sol LeWitt, Allen Ruppersberg, and Lawrence Weiner, he lived and worked in Los Angeles, New York, and Amsterdam. "The Cadillac and The Nun" was published by NAi to accompany the artist's 1999 exhibition at Stedelijk Van Abbe Museum, Eindhoven.
