March 17, 1927 – March 2, 2015
Francisco González Ledesma navigated careers as a lawyer, journalist, and author. His early literary path was shaped by the censorship of the Franco regime, leading him to adopt the pseudonym Silver Kane for popular novels. Transitioning to journalism, he rose to chief editor of prominent newspapers and co-founded a clandestine press group advocating for journalistic freedom. Following the regime's collapse, his novels featuring the symbolic Inspector Méndez gained critical acclaim, culminating in significant literary recognition for his compelling narratives.
