Éliphas Lévi Book order (chronological)

Wir freuen uns, Ihnen die erste deutsche Übersetzung dieses 1861 von Eliphas Levi geschriebenen Buches präsentieren zu können. Eliphas Levi schickte das Manuskript seinem Schüler, dem Baron Nicolas-Joseph Spedalieri, einem italienischen Edelmann, der in Marseille wohnte. Aber erst 1920 wurde es mit Hilfe von Emile Nourra, der die Wichtigkeit dieses Manuskriptes erkannt hatte zum ersten Mal gedruckt. Es vereint das alte mit dem neuen Testament, d. h., das Judentum mit dem Christentum. Mit Hilfe von antiken, orientalischen und freimaurerischen Abbildungen versucht der Autor die Parallelen der Symbolismen hervorzuheben und zeigt das gemeinsame Ziel der beiden prophetischen Bücher: die Erneuerung des Menschen.

Čaroděj Meudonský je jediný iniciační román klasika francouzského hermetismu 19. století Eliphase Léviho. Lévi, kterého v Čechách svými překlady proslavil dr. Jan Kefer, se v této knize projevuje jako veliký zasvětitel, veliký šprýmař, a především jako skutečný mistr pera. Hlavním hrdinou Čaroděje Meudonského je francouzský spisovatel François Rabelais (1494-1553), kterého Lévi s radostí (a právem!) líčí jako vzdělaného zasvěcence, který svým radostným způsobem osvěcuje temnoty kolem sebe. Vychází v omezeném nákladu.

Lévi begann 1860 mit dem Schreiben von Histoire de la magie. Im folgenden Jahr, 1861, veröffentlichte er eine Fortsetzung von Dogme et rituel, La clef des grands mystères. 1861 besuchte Lévi erneut London. Weitere magische Werke von Lévi sind Fables et symboles, 1862, Le sorcier de Meudon, 1861, und La science des esprits, 1865. 1868 schrieb er Le grand arcane, ou l'occultisme Dévoilé; dieses wurde jedoch erst posthum 1898 veröffentlicht.

Předkládané dílo tvoří mezi díly Éliphase Léviho jedno z nejzajímavějších. Za celý svůj bohatý život nikdy nevydal tak otevřenou, jasnou knihu, naplněnou exaktními vyobrazeními písmen a čísel hebrejské abecedy. Tento obrazový soubor, symbolizující kabbalistické dogma, umožňuje adeptům praktickou aplikaci.

Tato kniha obsahuje základy a principy onoho třetího zjevení, o kterém hrabě Joseph de Maistre prohlásil, že bude dáno světu. Toto třetí zjevení může býti pouze vysvětlením a syntézou dvou prvních. Musí usmiřovati vědu a dogma, autoritu a svobodu, rozum a víru. Zrno jsme připravili, druzí obstarají setbu. Pisatel těchto řádků jest dalek toho považovati se za proroka. Vidí pravdu a popisuje ji. Jeho autoritou jest zřejmost a jeho silou rozum. Mluví k mudrcům a jest připraven na posměch a pohrdání hloupých. Píše pro silné a nebude tudíž čten slabochy, kterým chce působiti strach. Kniha dělí se na dvě části: První obsahuje dialogy, obsahující veškeré sporné náboženské a filosofické otázky přítomnosti. Druhá obsahuje vysvětlení a aforismy. Nepodává slohových umělůstek ani frází.
