Laurent de Brunhoff was a French author and illustrator who kept the spirit of Babar and his family alive for over 50 years. Though Babar was created by his mother as a bedtime story and first illustrated by his father, Jean de Brunhoff, Laurent took up the mantle after his father's passing. He went on to create over 30 Babar stories, preserving his family's vision for new generations. His work is characterized by a warmth and timelessness that resonates with readers worldwide.
