Andrew Grove

    September 2, 1936 – March 21, 2016

    Andrew Grove was a Hungarian-American businessman and engineer who became the third CEO of Intel Corporation. Born in Budapest in 1936, he survived the Holocaust and fled Hungary during the 1956 revolution. In the USA, he studied chemical engineering and significantly contributed to the development of the semiconductor industry. Under his leadership, Intel became the world's largest manufacturer of microprocessors. Grove was also the author of several books on management and technology, including the bestseller "Only the Paranoid Survive".
