Eugene T. Gendlin

    December 25, 1926 – May 1, 2017

Eugene T. Gendlin was an American philosopher and psychotherapist who developed innovative approaches to working with the living process and the bodily felt sense. He also formulated a 'philosophy of the implicit,' exploring realms of experience beyond explicit patterns and concepts. Gendlin is best known for his methods of Focusing and Thinking at the Edge, which offer unique procedures for deeper, more embodied thinking.
