Giordano Bruno

    January 1, 1548 – February 17, 1600

This Italian philosopher and scholar is best known as a proponent of the infinity of the universe. His cosmological theories extended beyond the Copernican model, identifying the Sun as just one of an infinite number of heavenly bodies. He also wrote extensively on the art of memory and explored a qualitative approach to mathematics.
