Massimo Carlotto was born in Padua on July 22, 1956. In 1976, as a young university student and L.C. activist, he accidentally discovered the lifeless body of Margherita Magello in Padua, who had been stabbed 59 times. He was accused by the police of the murder after voluntarily coming forward to testify.
