Healthy plants are the goal for gardeners, farmers, and foresters, as well as the focus of plant biologists. However, it is the stressed, injured, or diseased plants that reveal the full spectrum of structural and functional responses to harmful stimuli. While medical literature on diseases is abundant, similar resources on injured and diseased plants are scarce.
