More about the book
Lotte Laserstein (1898-1993) first came to artistic prominence in Berlin during the "roaring twenties" and early thirties. One of the first female artists to gain an international stature, she was forced by political upheavals to seek refuge in Sweden in 1937, where she embarked on a second career, but never achieved a status equal to her earlier fame. Only recently has her work been rediscovered, most notably with a large exhibition of her work in Berlin. This book includes a CD-ROM featuring her paintings, drawings and etchings from 1910 to 1937, as well as a listing of selected works from her career in Sweden.
