Quantitative methods in forest management

Authors

More about the book

This book covers important aspects of forest management, including growth modelling, yield regulation and harvest scheduling. The material was compiled using lecture notes used at the Faculty of Forestry and Forest Ecology, Georg-August-University of Göttingen. It reflects our mutual interest in quantitative aspects of forest growth modelling and sustainable forest management. The examples are not limited to a specific geographical region or system of forest management. We have made an attempt to include applications from different countries, covering even-aged plantation forestry as well as uneven mixed forests managed in the selection system.
