Nilhari NEUPANE was born in Jabdi VDC, Sarlahi, Nepal in a farmer family. He completed his schooling from Shree Shishu Kalyan and Mahabir MV of Sarlahi. Being a member of a farmer’s family, he determined to study agricultural science after his schooling. He was awarded B. Sc. (Agriculture economics) in 2000 from Tribhuvan University (TU), Nepal. Then, he immediately started his professional career by joining ADB funded project related to rural infrastructure in Kavrepalanchowk district of Nepal. Having two years of working experiences, he joined MA in Rural Development and completed in 2004. During Bachelor and Masters´ studies, he got scholarship provided by TU. After his Masters´ degree, he worked for World Bank funded poverty alleviation project in Sarlahi district of Nepal. His academic and professional career have been enhanced by various national and international level trainings, workshops and conferences. To further strengthen his academic career, he joined PhD in Agricultural Economics in Justus Liebig University, Giessen, Germany under DAAD program in 2007. He was awarded doctorate in Agricultural Economics in July, 2011. This book was produced while he was research fellow in the institute of Agricultural Policy and Market Research, Justus Liebig University, Giessen. He has published papers in national and international magazines.
