Approaches to telephone interpretation

The book gives an overview of telephone interpretation from a professional, innovative and pedagogical approach. There are not many studies on telephone interpretation, as this technique was first introduced in the twentieth century. Nevertheless, it is becoming very popular due to its effectiveness: it is an excellent option for situations that cannot be planned in advance (for instance, emergency services), it is provided immediately and it is available 24/7, it relies on readily available everyday technology (mobile telephones) and it decreases the cost of the interpretation services.
