Active Fever Therapy with MBV - Coley's Toxins

More about the book
Fever is a physiological and holistic process. It activates a complex immune defence network and can also be used successfully as a therapeutic principle for malignant and chronic diseases. In addition to the increase in temperature, which serves as an amplifier mechanism for the rapid activation of immunological reactions, the central fever mediator, interleukin-1 (formerly endogenous pyrogen), triggers extensive immune reactions as a real immune cascade. In the 1980s, the author conducted extensive studies in which, for the first time in medicine, he provided evidence of the impressive immune activation in active fever therapy in humans, which is based on therapy with Coley's MBV (mixed bacterial vaccines). The efficiency of the therapy with Coley's toxins was confirmed by the convincing immunological and clinical results. These remarks are also a tribute to the courageous and creative physician William Bradley Coley (1862-1936), the »Godfather of Immunotherapy« . His work was evaluated by his daughter Helen Coley Nauts (1907-2001), who founded the Cancer Research Institute in New York in 1953. During the years of his clinical activity, the author had conducted lively scientific and personal correspondence with her.
