Dead Reckoning

Sookie has a knack for getting herself into trouble. And that is just the beginning when she witnesses the bar where she works getting firebombed. Since Sam Merlotte is well known to be a shape-shifter, suspicion naturally falls on the local anti-shifters. Sookie has her doubts about this, but before she can investigate further - something even more dangerous occurs. Sookie's lover Eric Northman and his 'child' Pam have been plotting something behind her back. And they seem almost as determined as Sookie is to find out what's going on. But Sookie refuses to sit on the sidelines when both her work and her love life are being threatened - but as she is gradually drawn into their plans Sookie finds that the situation is deadlier than she could ever have imagined.
