More about the book
This original work in contemporary Jewish philosophy consists of six letters of chapter length, along with six brief responses. Through the genre of letters it explores the meaning of revelation for modern Jewish life. It looks to the religious resources that emerge from within the interpersonal realm in order to respond to the changes and challenges that confront Jewish life and self-understanding. Developments in modern Jewish philosophy as well as the philosophy of religion are also taken as the context for this presentation.
