More about the book
Companies actually face increasing internationalization and globalization of markets, reduced life cycles of products, and more and more sophisticated customer demands. Given the current situation, companies have realized that single optimization does not necessarily result in economic success. Participation in supply chains offers a promising opportunity of securing long-term and lasting competitive advantages. The advantages and potentials related to cooperations in supply chains, however, can only be tapped if its management is supported by an efficient supply chain controlling. The objectives of this doctoral thesis are to systematically configure supply chain controlling instruments and to discuss reciprocal effects of these instruments.
