The work of this thesis concentrates on MID-LDS technology. Generally, it focuses on the effect of LDS parameters including laser incidence angle, focal length, hatching, laser power, laser velocity, and laser frequency on the final characteristics of the structured area, accuracy, quality, and reliability of the final MID product. It includes an experimental investigation based on the DoE tool to describe the correlation between adopted parameters and corresponding responses. A computer simulation and modeling are also employed to predict the process performance with easy-to-modify computer models.
