Crimes of passion

The French would say that a crime of passion is 'to kill for love'. The believe--and rightly--that any human being, driven to the limits of endurance by uncontrollable feelings, is capable of committing an act as bloody, brutal, and savage as any in history. Many crimes are motivated by passion, and are not merely versions of the eternal triangle, the killing for lust or love. ASnger, frustration, greed, resentment and despair all play their part.
