"Transparent Things" follows Hugh Person, a young publisher, on four visits to Switzerland. He navigates love and humiliation, ultimately marrying Armande. Years later, after a series of tumultuous events, he returns to confront his past, intertwining dreams, memories, and literary theory with the tangible world around him.
