Between 2007 and 2009, Berlin-based photographer Andreas Rost traveled to Kabul three times, invited by the Goethe-Institut and ifa Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations. His mission focused on training young men and women in photojournalism at the University of Kabul's art faculty, with a particular emphasis on empowering young women for careers in journalism and editorial work.
