The Millennium Development Goals Report 2011

The report highlights the challenges posed by climate, food, and economic crises, which threaten hard-won progress. Despite the economic downturn impacting jobs and incomes globally, there is optimism about achieving the Millennium Development Goal of halving extreme poverty by 2015. Significant strides have been made in increasing primary school enrollment in impoverished countries, particularly in Africa, as well as in combating AIDS, malaria, and improving child health. Additionally, there is a promising outlook for improving access to clean drinking water.
