Death of the Mantis

Set against the backdrop of the southern Kalahari in Botswana, the story follows Detective David "Kubu" Bengu as he investigates the mysterious death of ranger Monzo, found with a severe head wound. Surrounded by three Bushmen, the circumstances of Monzo's death raise questions about their involvement. As Kubu delves deeper, a series of bizarre murders complicate the case, leading him into the heart of the Kalahari. The investigation challenges his detective skills and survival instincts amidst themes of racial tension and ancient legends.
