Originally delivered as lectures to the Baptist Church in Caldwell, N.J., these talks were not initially meant for publication. However, due to popular demand, the author, who is also a practical printer, decided to share them with the public. The lectures were based on minimal notes and were largely extemporaneous, resulting in a unique and spontaneous style. The author personally typeset the first edition, adding to the book's distinctive character and connection to its origins.
