Set against the backdrop of World War II Amsterdam, the story follows Isa de Smit, who navigates perilous choices as she sells counterfeit paintings to the Nazis. While grappling with the moral complexities of survival, she also risks her safety to assist her friend Truus in smuggling Jewish babies to safety.
