Cellini Smith is back in action as a private detective in Los Angeles, tasked with solving the murder of Morton Miles, a former champion and manager of the Hangover Club. The club's regulars, known as "pugs," want Cellini to frame the despised Terrible Turk, a massive wrestler with a local bowling alley. However, the Turk has his own private investigator on the case, complicating matters. As Cellini navigates this web of intrigue, he must uncover the truth amidst rivalries and deception.
