Memoirs of a Polish Jewish woman who survived World War II hiding in occupied Poland, with "Aryan" documents. Her father and stepmother were deported from the Kraków ghetto; she escaped from the ghetto and hid in Kraków and then in Warsaw. In the region of Radom she was employed as a cook for German soldiers. From a liaison with with a German officer, she gave birth to a son, who ignored his father's origin until he himself had children. The two of them emigrated to Israel in 1957, but after a short stay Jasinska moved on to Germany, where she lives in Frankfurt.
