This handbook is the first dealing with the discovery of drugs directed against apicomplexan parasites. Amongst others, this group of endoparasites includes the causative agents of Malaria, Toxoplasmosis, and Babesiosis, the latter occurring mainly in animals. This volume includes an essay on the history of German design as well as 11 revealing interviews with established professionals of the scene.

Katja M. Becker, born in 1977, studied communication design in Cologne, postgraduate in Constance, worked as lecturer and art director. In 2003 founded beaubureau Kommunikationsdesign, Cologne, in partnership with Stephanie Podobinski. Stephanie Podobinski, born in 1971, studied philosophy and mathematics in Bonn, then communication design in Cologne. Since 2003 beaubureau Kommunikationsdesign, Cologne, together with Katja M. Becker.
