The public awareness of the integration problem has risen all over the world, especially after the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001. In Europe this finally led to the insight that European States are immigration countries. Against this background the Association for the Study of the World Refugee Problem (AWR) illuminates the immigration and integration problem in selected European States without representing these states' or EU's official opinions.
