The endorsement of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights prompted many States to re-examine their legal regimes in this area. In Switzerland too, intense discussions continue on the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles. In response to the Parliamentary debates on the subject, the Federal Council mandated the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law to carry out an investigation of the extent to which different States have implemented the UN Guiding Principles. The report, prepared by the Institute in 2013, demonstrates the extent to which other jurisdictions have imposed duties on large corporations to conduct human rights due diligence, and on the nature of those duties. Depuis presque trente ans, l’Institut suisse de droit comparé publie les rapports suisses présentés à l’occasion du Congrès international de droit comparé qui se tient tous les quatre ans et dont la XIXe session a eu lieu du 20 juillet au 26 juillet 2014 à Vienne. Les douze rapports suisses ici réunis traitent d’une grande variété de thèmes liés à des questions fondamentales d’un système juridique telles que la sélection des juges ou la formation juridique, à des développements actuels pratiques comme la technologie génétique, l’Internet ou la lutte anti-terroriste, ou encore à des questions plus classiques de plusieurs domaines juridiques tels que la reconnaissance de sentences arbitrales étrangères, le traitement du droit étranger en droit international privé, les droits sociaux fondamentaux ainsi que plusieurs questions en droit commercial.
