Fei Han

Han Fei was an influential Chinese political philosopher of the Warring States period. He synthesized the methods of earlier Chinese Realpolitik, establishing the foundation of rule by law as described in his seminal work. His philosophy emphasized the integration of position, technique, and law as crucial for achieving firm control over the state. Despite being officially vilified after the fall of the Qin Dynasty, Han Fei's political theory profoundly influenced subsequent Chinese dynasties, preventing the realization of the Confucian ideal of rule without laws.
