Burger Cillie Book order
The author grew up in a home where photography and a love for nature were highly prioritized, naturally leading to a lifelong passion for wildlife photography. Their literary career began in 1985 upon identifying a need for a quality photographic guide to Southern African mammals. Leveraging an extensive personal collection of mammal photographs, the author embarked on creating a guide, which became their debut publication. Despite initial writing challenges, with the assistance of a renowned expert, the text was finalized, and the book saw publication, later being translated into German. Subsequently, other guides focusing on mammals and birds of Southern Africa followed, many of which have been reprinted and revised multiple times. These successful publications have established the author's reputation more as a writer than the photographer they initially aspired to be.
