Detailled analisis of the Goldbach- Variations. The present Goldbach- Variations are the attempt to oppose this traditional tendency of symmetric partitions of durations. There are 23 Variations which lengths corresponds to the 23 first primes. The varied theme is no particular melody or harmony but the partition of all occurring durations or numbers in possibly different primes, which then are subdivided again in more primes and so on. Which regard to the harmony, I use different types of „trichordal Hexachords“, namely always a new Hexachord for each bar. If a piece is made of different sections (of course a prime number of sections), so their lengths behave in relation to primes, and wherever a longer part is subdivided in more shorter ones, the ratio of the latter is always correspondent to further different primes. Moreover if equal values follow each other their number will always be a prime.

dedicated to the dancer and composer Alessio Silvestrin, who's interest in the Fibonacci-numbers gave me the idea to compose this collection of pieces. The collection consists of 34 pieces which are connected by a structural affinity for the Fibonacci-numbers. All 34 dances can be performed by piano solo. For 21 of the 34 dances there is a version for toy-piano and flute, flute in G, piccolo or tin-whistle. For 13 of the 34 dances there is a version for cello, flute and harpsichord. If all those instruments are available, the 34 dances can be performed by choosing the version you like best for each piece. Moreover, the different versions of each piece can be seen merely as a suggestion. You can choose the instruments you like and create your own versions in this way. If you like, you can also play an individual selection of pieces from the collection, as long as the total of selected pieces is, of course, a Fibonacci-number.
