Modelling of spray deposit on diverse targets in agribusiness
    • The primary goal of applying plant protection products is to maintain the health of crops while minimizing environmental harm. Preventive fungicides are essential for managing diseases, as they help keep infections at levels that do not damage plants. This proactive approach significantly reduces the likelihood of infection in untreated plants within treated areas compared to those in untreated zones. With proper supervision and controlled application, these products can mitigate soil and environmental pollution. Integrated pest management plays a crucial role in regulating the use of plant protection products, officially recognized in Slovenia for grape and vine production since 2000. This publication focuses on the use of copper in plant protection and its environmental impact, aiming to reduce improper use of these products and the associated risks of economic loss due to poor yields and quality, as well as threats to wildlife and the environment from pollution. Additionally, it contributes to developing a monitoring system within agribusiness decision support frameworks. The work reflects past research and advisory efforts from the Slovenian Institute of Hop Research and Brewing in Žalec, Slovenia, enhancing knowledge to promote responsible use of plant protection products.
