In her debut novel, the author processes the horrors of her own childhood. She tells the story of a young girl, of physical but above all psychological violence within her family, and of a fear that resides in all of us: the fear of the supernatural. The author left her childhood home at the age of 15 and still returns to the horrors of her early years night after night.
