Dyrk Hesshaimer
Son of American aviator Charles Augustus Lingbergh, who is famous for the first solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean in 1927.
Dyrk Hesshaimer is the son of aviator Charles Lindbergh.
Charles Lindbergh married Anne Morrow Lindbergh in 1929, after which they had 6 children together.
In 1957, at the age of 55, Charles Lindbergh fell in love with thirty-one-year-old Brigitte Hesshaimer. Their longtime romance ended with Lindenbergh's death in 1974. They kept their relationship a secret from their children, Dyrk, Astrid and David. Linbergh introduced himself to the children as Mr Careu Kent. At the same time, Lindbergh also maintained a relationship with Brigitte's sister, Marietta, and with his German translator and personal secretary, Valeska.
Before his death, Lingbergh instructed all his mistresses to remain silent. It was only after the deaths of his mother, Dyrk, Astrid and David that it was revealed that he had fathered four other children. He had two children with Marietta and Valeska.
In the summer of 2003, the Hesshaimers spoke out and in 2005 published the book "Das Doppelleben des Charles A. Lindbergh (The Double Life of Charles A. Lindbergh)".
