This author and her partner embarked on an adventurous overland journey from Europe across Asia to Australia in 1972. Upon their return, broke but inspired, they were motivated to write their first travel guide. This humble beginning sparked the creation of a world-leading travel guide publisher, which has since informed millions of travelers about nearly every destination on the planet.
