Virginia Graham

Virginia Graham, daughter of humorist Harry Graham, was raised in affluent surroundings near Hyde Park. Throughout her life, she collaborated closely with Joyce Grenfell, writing songs for her, and also pursued her own poetry, columns, essays, and film reviews, alongside translating novels from French. Her collection 'Consider the Years' (1946) evokes her wartime experiences in London and Bristol while working for the WVS, as life continued 'as normal.' A devoted Christian Scientist, Graham passionately loved music, poetry, theatre, and friends.
