Dan Kimball

Dan's journey began in north eastern New Jersey, where he pursued landscape architecture before a significant period as a drummer in a rockabilly/punk band, including a year living and playing in London. This experience led him to independently study the Bible in Israel, seeking to understand the validity of Christianity. Returning to Santa Cruz, he became deeply involved in church ministries, eventually earning a Graduate Certificate in Bible from Multnomah Seminary. After serving as a high school pastor for eight years, he co-founded a worship gathering called "Graceland" that evolved into a ministry for young adults and all ages. He later joined the leadership team that launched Vintage Faith Church, where he now serves as the primary teaching pastor, overseeing missional aspects, and is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree.

Cultural shifts are leading to declining participation of younger generations in churches. This award-winning book examines these changes and provides practical strategies for churches to engage with emerging generations. It highlights that certain spiritual elements traditionally removed from church settings may actually resonate with post-Christian individuals, suggesting that a return to these aspects could foster connection and attraction to church communities.
