Arnold Höllriegel Books
Richard Arnold Bermann, more famously known by his pseudonym Arnold Höllriegel, was an Austrian journalist and travel writer renowned for introducing the concise Feuilleton to Berlin. Drawing inspiration from the Viennese tradition and the style of Peter Altenberg, he cultivated a distinctive literary voice. His career encompassed roles as a "pacifist war correspondent" during World War I, followed by extensive travel writing that chronicled expeditions to diverse locations from the Amazon to Hollywood. Bermann's insightful observations on film and his encounters with notable figures characterized his work, which was ultimately banned in Nazi Germany, leading to his emigration to the United States.
