Hüseyin Nihal Atsiz Books
Nihal Atsız, a leading figure in Turkism, is also recognized by his followers as a formidable Turkologist. They note his profound understanding of Turkish language, history, and literature, with a particular expertise in the Göktürk period. This era, deeply cherished by Atsız, is vividly brought to life in his novels "The Death of the Wolves" and "The Resurrection of the Wolves." His novel "Deli Kurt" offers a fictionalized account of the early periods of Ottoman history. The character of Selim Pusat in "The Soul Man" is widely seen as a reflection of Atsız himself. He had intended to write "The Lonely Man" as a sequel, alongside a third installment to the "Wolves" series. Among his unpublished works is a historical text titled "The History of the Ottoman Dynasty from Sultan Mahmud II to the Present Day." Atsız's poetry has been collected and published under the title "The End of the Roads."
