Piotr Wroński
Piotr Wroński, born in 1957, is a graduate of Polish Studies from the University of Warsaw. His early career was marked by service within the communist state's repressive apparatus, joining the Security Service (SB) during the period of martial law. After working in the technical department, he was recruited into communist intelligence, where he participated in operations aimed at controlling opposition groups both domestically and abroad. Following the dissolution of the SB, he continued his intelligence work in newly formed services, focusing on areas including Russian affairs and serving postings abroad, such as in London. Retiring in 2013 as a colonel, he is a former intelligence officer whose writings often reflect on his past experiences within security services.
